Energy Analysis

GARD Analytics can provide solutions and answer questions using a variety of energy analysis techniques. Beyond building energy modeling, analysis includes statistical analysis of existing building energy databases such as from U.S. DOE Residential Energy Consumption Survey (RECS) and Commercial Building Energy Consumption Survey (CBECS). The use of multiple linear regression models based on actual data can provide statistically valid answers based on real world data. Also, simplified engineering models implemented using spreadsheets can provide an easy to understand and modify solutions that can be easily deployed.

In addition, literature searches on a variety of topics related to building energy analysis can often find the answers to questions that others have already investigated. Targeted literature searches in the building field are a good step for any new research project.
