Various agencies and organizations have contracted directly with GARD Analytics to hold onsite training workshops to train staff members on using EnergyPlus. Numerous 1-day and 2-day workshops have been conducted by GARD staff for engineers, architects, national labs and universities. The workshop time is divided between lectures and hands-on exercises designed to allow students to enter and run simple EnergyPlus models on their own laptop computers. GARD has also conducted webinars and developed online training videos for EnergyPlus. Since 2002, GARD has organized more than 40 events with over 700 attendees, and Dr. Witte of GARD has taught nearly all of them.
